a couple of the plastic fingers have broken off inside the shred mechanism but,,
it still works like a monster!! it's been called loud and, it is! This is still one of the hardest working shredders I've ever owned. It even has safety bars to keep your and or little ones fingers from going thru the"process"

all in all still happy with it.
