I have the CX CAS calculator, and it was $150 when I bought it, so a cover like this is pretty cool, as you don't want to damage an expensive calculator.

However, there are a few things to note. First of all, you cannot access the battery compartment with the cover on. It's not so bad with the CX CAS, because you can recharge the battery inside the calculator, with a power adapter. However, if your using a model that requires AAA batteries, it might be somewhat of a pain. This calculator is basically a handheld computer-not really a calculator, so those AAA batteries aren't going to last very long. You'll need to remove this cover every time you need to replace the batteries, which I've read can be as little as once every week or two, depending on how much you use the calculator. Which is why you should spend the extra $15 and buy the rechargeable battery anyway. You'll save a ton of money.

The other thing about this cover is that, once you put it on, you can no longer use the hard case that comes with the calculator, because it won't slide into it anymore. The problem with that is, your screen is exposed 100% of the time. So while the cover might protect your calculator from scratches if it's rolling around in a backpack, it won't protect the screen, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the most important part.

The calculator itself is built pretty well, so I personally, am not worried about the calculator being scratched, however, the screen is made of glass, similar to a fancy cell phone-like a touch screen cell phone. So it can be scratched very easily.

I really won't even use this case, because I would rather have the hard case that the calculator comes with, so that my screen is protected.

This case is cool if you want to change the color of your calculator, at the expense of the screen, but, personally, I would just buy a few generic screen protectors like you would get for a cell phone. You can get the kind that can be cut to size, which is very easy since this screen is huge and square, and stick those on. They can be peeled off and replaced if they become damaged, and I think it will provide more protection in the long run.

So if you want to change the color of your calculator and have some protection for the handheld itself, this would be a cool option, however, if you want to protect your screen from being damaged when not in use, it's not going to help you at all.
