Overall I find the scanner to be a decent product. I use it for logging in comic books into my vast collection. It could be a sturdier product for my tastes but that's nitpicking. My problems with the scanner is the instruction booklet for one. It's not very intuitive but once I understood the 5 step process to set up the scanner for the particular upc code I was dealing with, it was fine. The booklet has a cheat sheet on the back but that should've been broken down more clearly inside the book. My other problem is every so often the scanner will misscan/misread for whatever reason and it won't activate again until I pull the cable from the USB port then re-plug it back in. The booklet doesn't explain this problem at all. I had to do my own troubleshooting which took a few hours.

But on the whole the scanner works fine when no misscans occur. I can scan dozens of books before having a misread. But once I re-plug I'm back in business for the most part. Besides the small issues noted I find the scanner quite effective and do recommend it for those who need cheap, quick and relatively easy upc code scanning.
