The Ectaco NTL-2F (and similar models, I imagine) is seriously overpriced, judging by how they're willing to discount it under the price you see here.

And customer service is terrible. If you encounter problems, it appears that they won't seriously try to resolve them: rather, they'll try to maximize their own convenience. And they don't talk to each other or share records of what they've done or what they've said. If customer service matters to you, Ectaco is not the place to find it.

In any event, this gadget isn't a way to learn a language. If you must absolutely have a gadget, you're on your own. But I don't. I considered one of these items as a gift, but after my experience with Ectaco, no longer. My friend will have to be satisfied with something much better.
