WWS100i Cordless Pocket Barcode Scanner Review

I figured I'd chime in as I've been using the Wasp for a few days now. I've been using this with an Android, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Pros:

-Cheap vs competitors scanners on the market (I paid $158 vs $300 for a scanfob).
-Easy to install, connects immediately through bluetooth, no Serial Magic Gears needed.
-Thinner than Scanfob
-Scans relatively well
-Friendly and easily accessible customer support.

Cons:

-Doesn't work perfectly with Profit Bandit (Enter must be hit manually after scanning, backspace must be hit to start a new scan, this is a huge waste of time and inconvenience).

-Scan range does not work as well as scanfob.

-Had some issues with it not working with Scanpower Webscout earlier, maybe just a one time glitch but it will be problematic if it happens again.

Programs used:

-Neatoscan - works perfectly no issues
-Profit Bandit - scans but you will need to hit enter and then clear previous data before next scan
-Scanpower Webscout - seems to work fine although I did have a glitch earlier (possibly a Wasp error, either way, doesn't bode well).

Overall:

If you're looking to save a few bucks this is a nice scanner vs the more expensive options. If you're planning on using this with Profit Bandit avoid it and opt for a scanfob.
