While shredding, a green light indicates if you are within the shredders capacity. A red light indicates you are feeding too many papers at once and the shredder may jam. This scanner is a nice replacement for our 10 year old model of similar size. As a busy doctor's office, we shred about a case of paper a week. I like the jam free function because it keeps unknowing staff members from over feeded. The automatic oiling is great, so you don't forget to oil it.

My only complaint is the bagging system is inefficient. I wish they made a bin to hold the chips and the user then emptys that bin into trash bags. In higher volumne shredding, their bags get expensive and don't hold that much volumne.

Over all it's the best shredding in this price and feature point.
