Fellowes Powershred® Shredder Bags for All Personal Models, 100 Bags & Ties/Carton (36052) Review

I agree with most other reviewers of this product. These bags are vastly *inferior* to the bags which ship with the shredder. I also contacted Fellowes, and they said that the bags which ship with the unit are unavailable for purchase. These inferior bags are the only bags they sell. This is unfortunate, because the shredder is first quality, and the are blemishing the Fellowes brand by selling inferior bags.

I should have read the reviews before I purchased these bags, as I would have looked elsewhere. I was told by Fellowes that the # 36053 (not sold by Amazon) bags are slightly thicker and larger but still not nearly as good as the bags which ship with the unit.

Overall I am disappointed in the response of Fellowes. In this difficult economy one would hope they would be interested in both (a) earning more money and (b) responding to customer complaints by selling a better product.

By eliminating the need to manually feed papers, you can work on other tasks while the shredder shreds for you. The 250X model can automatically shred as many as 250 sheets, including those fastened with paper clips or staples. Simply insert a stack of 250 letter size sheets into the autofeed tray, shut the lid, and you're done. This hands free shredder also includes a locking feature to keep your sensitive items safe during the auto shredding process. Once shredding starts, the paper chamber locks and cannot be opened unless a user enters their 4-digit PIN code to interrupt shredding. Only once the total shredding process is complete will the shredder automatically unlock so that another person can use it.

Super cross-cut shreds extra fine in two directions.

For shredding glossy and folded sheets a manual shredding slot is also included, which shreds up to 8 sheets at once. To shred a credit card, manually place it between the rollers in the autofeed chamber and shut the lid. DVDs and CDs can be shredded through a separate slot that is also inside the autofeed chamber. The 250X is a super cross-cut shredder, delivering Level P-4 security that is suitable for everyday shredding. Had over 250 boxes left over from an old business that had to be shredded. This worked just as advertised as a "close and play" shredder. Stick in a stack of paper, close the lid, and it took off. Only jammed a couple of times. Seems if you have too many papers stapled together, it will jam up. Just had to poke around to clean things up and it was good to go. Worked as good with the first stack as the last.

Fellowes 38425 Powershred 425Ci 28 Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder Review

Fellowes 425ci
As a small business, I have a problem where I generate 3 file boxes of paper that needs to stored, and the problem becomes worse when it is time to shred. I have gone through 4 office shredders and I felt I needed something more heavier duty to shred the archived paperwork. This shredder has been my answer. The bin fills up after one file box full of paper, but makes easy work of the chore. I love that it self oils and since it has wheels, it can be easily move into the corner after I have finished. I have a Fellowes confetti shredder for daily use. I use a 45 gallon trash bag as a liner instead of the trash bags that you can get from Fellowes. I only had this shredder for a few days and will I can hopefully update this review after several months. There are more expensive Fellowes shredders and I am not sure how they compare to this model. Even though the directions does not recommend using the shredder for radiographic film, I have found that it does a great job of shredding.

We use about 5 of these in our office. Great all around scanner. Works on even very small barcodes (couple milimeters tall). I think this is probably like the worlds most popular barcode scanner, I try to buy them used when possible, and can usually find them. Reads all popular barcode types that I know of, and with a little research can be easily adapted to scan even more obscure types. Easy to use just plug into a windows computer if you have the USB adapter.
