The only reason I didn't give this great shredder five stars is that it doesn't have a handle. It does have wheels that roll nicely, but one has to crouch and push it along to move it. Because of its bulk, it's awkward to carry. Otherwise, it works wonderfully. I've used it for several weeks now and shredded about 15 years of old tax records, etc., and it's really done the job with no jams. Each time I dump the container, I do briefly run it in reverse to get out any little bits that might be caught in the blades. The instructions say to let it rest periodically if one is going to use it for a long period. I just feel the top, and if it's hot, I turn it off and do something else for about 15 minutes. I've found that it shreds single sheets of lightweight cardboard as easily as paper. Though it's supposed to shred 10 sheets of paper at a time, I've stopped at 6 or 7 to be on the safe side. I haven't shredded any CDs, so I can't comment on that feature. I'd highly recommend this shredder, especially if Gear Head puts a handle on the next incarnation. Even without a handle, it does a terrific job, and I'm very pleased with the purchase.
