There are few French-English translators like this for sale anywhere. I guess because people use their smart phones a lot now. It if for this reason that I keep buying the newest Franklin brand instead of trying other brands. I have an iPhone but still far prefer this translator because it is fast and gives you all the information you could possible want about a word and the different ways it can be used. It also has helpful examples of the word used in context. I also love that it practically has a built in 501 verbs and their conjugation book in it (not litterally).I read books in French all the time and this has served me well when I don't know a word or I want to practice the conjugation of a new verb. I used to love the translator back when I was a student because looking up words was so easy and fast.
There is one BIG DOWNSIDE to Franklin translators: They break! That is why I'm on my fourth (granted in 10 years). I anticpate one will last me 2-3 years, before it suddenly dies (and not because of the battery). It is for this reason, I recommend it to people who can afford it and are really dedicated to learning a language.
