Inkpress Rag, Cool Tone Double Sided, Bright White Matte Inkjet Paper, 16 mil., 200gsm, 13" x 50' Roll Review

I bought this paper to cut up to make 13 by 23 inch prints in my Canon Pro9000 MarkII, because I couldn't find any cut paper of this size. It works, but in front loading the printer first insert a flat paper, then slide in on top of this the cut roll paper which will be curled from the roll and pull out the flat paper.

My complaints are two: first there was a lot of dirt inside the plastic wrapping the roll and the paper itself has some marks and abrasions. second, the results tend to be on the dull side, without any real blacks and I had to work a lot in Photoshop and do lots of trial prints to get anything approaching the richness and vibrancy I get right off the bat with Canon's own rag. It may be that there are some color profiles out there which would simplify this process but I didn't come across them and there was no info in the box.

Next time I try this I will buy Canon's 24" roll and cut off 13" pieces.

I changed my 2 star rating to a 3 star in recognition of the fact that I am not using this on a roll printer. The apparent carelessness in handling is inexcusable.

I'll find a use despite the fact that the cards and envelops are tiny. They come with a mailing label, but my handwriting is much big to print that small.

For a younger person these would be fine.

True to color pictured. Perfect thickness and still prints in printer alright. Used these as a party invite. Printed a design on the purple card stock, cut to a 5x7 and then printed info on white paper and used a glue stick to paste to the cut version of the purple card stock. I used several different colors, one for directions, party info, and one for a response card. Then I used a strip of gold card stock to wrap it together. Perfect look.
